UPDATED: JUN 18, 2023 From bottle (pkd Aug'20) in tulip. Pours near black w/thin tan head, aroma of molasses, dark fruits, roast malt, woody notes. Big taste profile of coffee, choc, prunes, rosemary, spice reminiscent of rye. The kveik does its job of drying much of the big malty base.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2021 Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2021. A very dark brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of strong dark roasted malt, spices, raisins. Taste of sweet strong dark caramelized malt, liquorice, melasse, honey.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2021 Fra fat på Bergen Ølfestival okt-21: brunsvart med fint beige skum som varer. Dessertkaffe, feite mørke sjokolader, knekk og hint av lakrissjokolade. Stor munnfylde og velgjørende på alle måter. En meget passende avslutningsøl på denne velorganiserte og hyggelige festivalen.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2021 Dark brown beer with no head. Chocolate, acetone, fusels, refined alcohols as eau-de-vie. Chocolate, praliné, chocolate sauce for desserts, molasses and again drier alcohol. Slick, yet chewy, not quite syrupy. Fantastically complex, unbelievably refined in such a powerhouse.
