As usual Missouri didn’t get any respect in preseason predictions, despite winning the SEC Jr. division two years in a row. As it turns out, the prognosticators were right to be stingy. Our QB is poor, our receivers too young, and our running game too thin. Our defense has looked amazing against second-tier competition, and they will get better game to game, but... it won’t be enough. Our offense may well get shutout a couple of times this year. Is Tennessee for real? They look it.

Spread is only 12.5... I’m about to bet my mortgage. We won’t score an offensive touchdown against USC-East this weekend. No matter how bad they are, our offense is completely destroyed. I didn’t think we would fall this fast. I was expecting 7-5 or 6-6, but still bowl eligible. We lost 2 juniors, our entire secondary, our entire WR corps, an NFL caliber LB and another senior LB, after last year. This year, we lost our best DL, starting Center, QB, and our best WR to injury already. We weren’t going to be Fiesta Bowl material again, but we just can’t take this many lumps. We suck. We suck, bad. Our offense is a new level of atrocious.
