Originally posted by joet I could see this happening in a few places around Chicago, a bar opening as a coffee shop for breakfast. A lot of folks are just going to pop into the closest place w/ good coffee on the way to work and I can think of a few bars located right by train stations so it would seem like they’d be ripe to do early business in coffee. I am sure thousands of people walk by Piece, for example, on the way to the train station for work. Why not use that location all day? Heck, sell them some breakfast pizza too. |
.rar coffee releases are coming, bros! |
The coffee shop/bar scenario is pretty widespread here. And the one closest to my house that my dude manages does crazy business from open to close. And the line where the crowd shifts from majority coffee to booze is a blurry one. people are drinking wine @ 11am and coffee when it’s dark out. |
I would like bars to sell coffee in the morning as a cover for my alcoholism. Too bad open container laws prevent to-go cups most places around here. |

Bent Brewstillery had some Coffe(e) on tap during their re-opening party. |
This place opened in Jax after I left. They did an indiegogo and raised 10k to open. |
Some really great coffee out there, folks. Judging coffee by drip pot sludge is like judging all beer by typical BMC offerings. |
