Oct 2015 rosenbergh We had great time in Hawaii! Dan organized a very nice tasting, accommodated us and showed us the island. Also got some nice beers from him. Hope to meet again. Thank you so much Dan!
Apr 2006 mwsf Wow, Dan sent me a shipment of Japanese and German beers so good that words don’t do it justice. Pictures here: http://static.flickr.com/1/124994151_9084c64776_o.jpg and here: http://static.flickr.com/51/124994154_061c4ffd6e_o.jpg
Jan 2006 BückDich A huge box that arrived in 5 days from Japan. That’s an average of 60 mph! All exquisitely packed in bubble wrap, Styrofoam and plastic bags. Package included a DOZEN various sakes, mostly Aomori jizake, which is GOLD to most US sake lovers. Some of these sakes aren’t even in the database yet! Also 4 jibirus. Iwate IPA & WeizenBock and Oirase Dark Lager & Gekijyo. Domo arigato gozaimasu!
Dec 2005 iwantalambic WOW, a second shipment from santa! I didn’t know a single box could hold so many beers, what a packing job. Thanks so much Dan! Dec 2005 iwantalambic Dan shipped my secret santa package from Japan to Chicago with special care...each bottle was individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then packaged in plastic bags which certainly aided in guarding agains the 5 degree F temps up here! Here was the wonderful Christmas haul: Kirin Honey Brown (can) Oirase Gekijyo Oirase Pilsener Iwate Kura IPA Iwate Kura Oyster Stout Iwate Kura Weizen
Apr 2005 Oakes Beyond good trade - massive piles of Japanese beers in two boxes that took surprisingly little time to reach me from the other side of the Pacific. I’d asked Dan for some killer sushi and unfortunately was not edible by the time it arrived but the beer is still rockin, if a little fishy-tasting. Lots of happoshu, too, which was an odd but special request.
Mar 2005 DocLock IH delivered a marvelous box of Japanese brews. An assortment of hard to find stuff, sakes, stuff from Ginga Kogen, Kitakami, Iwate, Asahi, Kirin, and many I’m still trying to translate. Awesome packaging and an awesome trader. Thanks so much, Dan.
Jan 2005 joshpiledean Big package, double boxed, each bottle very well bubble wrapped and separately bagged, tons of bubble wrap in this package! 15 different beers included here, so I won’t name them all, but it consisted of a lot of japanese microbrews and a few other goodies: Andescher Doppelbock and Budvar Bud among them. Great guy and a great trader!
