“Situated on a lovely square looking out on the ’Basilica of the Fields’ of Avioth, only 10km from the Abbey of Orval, this place is a plittle gem on the French part of the border region called ’Gaume’. The food is excellent and the beer list is actually very good for French and even for Lorraine/northeastern standards. Couple of French beers, couple of Belgian beers and a very high emphasis on local brews from Orval (which is actually drunk almost as much as lager beer in these parts), Charmoy and Rulles. Every one of the about 8 or 9 breweries in this very beery region is allowed to use Orval yeast by the way.“
