“7th of July, 2021. A few hours before England-Denmark for the soccer Euro 2020. Ambiance began to go up :) Cheerful ! 11 of their beers on tap ! QR code with the beer menue. Nice ! I guess that's the future :) I tasted a good APA and a best bitter (not very common on tap in France). Friendly foolish service :) lol Nice bar.“

“Beginning of July, 2021. Nice bar with a good craft spirit. 17 crafts beers on tap (Effet papillon, BAM, Azimut, Big Mountain, Le Père l'Amer, Basqueland and Garden for UK, Extraomnes) and a Basque cider. Pretty smart with local and regional spirit (Effet Pap, Azimut). Woody tables. Stone wall. Also an intriguing nice small selection of cans and bottles near the bar. I tasted a beer from Extraomnes (Sabotage), Brett spirit :) A great bar for sure :)“

“5th of July. Bar (stone tunnel) with beers from La Brasserie Fondamentale (LBF). 18 beers on tap with 6 beers from LBF (pale ale, hefeweizen, dubbed, triple, IPA, sour ananas, triple). First time I see this : 100% payment in credit card ! Puzzled 🤔. I guess you can discover also their beers in bottles but I chose their Pale ale and their IPA. Pretty good. Ok price.“

“Beginning of July, 2021. Center of Bordeaux. 18h-19h. Not many people in the bar. I talked with the barman. Friendly, a good knowledge in craft beers. I tasted 2 oppigards beers. Honestly, list of taps not really impressive : Bel Pils, Vedett, Faro Lindemans, Maredsous, Chouffe, Kriek Liefmans, Duvel 666 but also Must Kuld and 2 locals beers from Azimut and Effet Papillon. With the beer menue, Belgian spirit + oppigards, some Pohjala ; on the French map : La Dilettante (Brittain), some Piggy... Big modern clean place. Nice.“

“Beginning of July, 2021. Yes 32 beers on tap ! Good range of Belgian classics (Saison Dupont, Bons Voeux, Corsendonk, Du Bocq, Dubuisson), french craft brewers (local : Azimut, Effet Papillon ; regional : La Débauche ; other interesting : Le Detour, Garrigue, Popihn...). Also Cantillon Foufoune on tap. They had another one a few days ago (St Lamvinus Grand Cru). I know Surmesure Nantes was a partner for the Zwanze Cantillon Event. Maybe Bordeaux was also in the party. Nice big bar in the center of Bordeaux. Friendly barman. Maybe lack of big names of European/US craft on the list of taps to be great ! Ok price.“

“Beginning of July 2021. I laugh writing this review because reading my other review of this bar in Annecy, I did the same :) I confused with another bar : "Le sur mesure". I will be inspired by this review. No novelty (what a pity). With a pre-paid card, you can pour yourself to 10 beers (belgian ales mostly such as Anosteke blonde, Lindemans Faro, Kasteel Rouge, Maredsous blonde...). The 1K rater won't be really enthusiast I guess. If you don't want to buy a card you can choose between 3 forgettable beers on tap (Vedett extra white, vedette blonde, lief mans fruité). Among the 15 bottles on a small shelf, I chose a Goose IPA I already tasted a few years ago but I couldn't find one I didn't have rated yet. The barman was friendly and helpful. I guess that can be a fun place to spend sharing some belgian ales between friends who are not craft beer geeks.“

“July 2021. I was very glad to discover this shop in the center of Bordeaux following the RB recommandations. Maybe 200 craft beers. After a quick look ; nice selection for french craft beers (Effet Papillon, Azimut, Goutte d'Or, Le Père l'amer...). I found beers from Brasserie Melt (Merignac near Nordeaux). When I asked the owner for saison or wild ale, she gave me Goutte d'Or beers (not really easy fo find in the center west of France), Malpolon (I knew this brewery, always good wild stuff), Hespebay ; DOT brew Maui DDH saison (Irish brewery). A quick look showed me this shop had a great selection in various styles. After all, I was in Bordeaux. I would come back very often if I was not that far :)“

“Beginning of July 2021. This nice beer bar is just next to beautiful "Porte Cailhau", not that far from quay of the Garonne. 4-6 beers on tap : Azimut, Effet Papillon, Zoobrew, Whiplash. Good selection. I enjoyed the QR code to have all the menue on my phone ! Nice. The first time I see it. A lot of French craft breweries. Also Pirata, Staggeringly good, whiplash, Lervig...). Various styles (including some gueuze kriek €€). Smart. I was not inspired by their interior decoration, clean big tables, not enough place, TV screen ; not really craft spirit. Good service. Ok price.“

Bar super cool !“

“Open: Mon -Fri 09.30 - 16.30 Sat -Sun Closed A great brewery located a bit out of town but easily reachable as the last tram stop is right in front of the brewery. Inside its a working brewery with a "tap-room" space so you can have a few beers at source, sharing emotions and a unique moment! The team are a set of amazing brewers that are curious and inventive. They also have a Microcan CL5 canning machine and sell cans from the brewery. If you have the opportunity, do not hesitate to go to the brewery where you will be very well received and advised. Excellent value for money on the go.I highly recommend.“

“Nice located nice little beer shop. Fine selection with a wide variation of interesting beers from most European countries and a fair deal of French breweries with a fair deal of local breweries. Exactly what a beer tourist will be looking for at a shop like this. The staff is helpful and know their buisness.“

“A welcoming variation from all the French style pubs and bistros in the area. Quite spacious and rather typical British town pub. Seem to be rather popular among the younger crowd, but all range of of age seems to visit. The beer itself isn’t outstanding or particular impressing, but not bad at all. Quite standard in the middle of the road brews among the most standard beer styles, but there seems to be made space for any occasionally more experimental brew as well. Did not try the food, but it seems to be the regular burger and fries style withing the decent quality range. There is a few other, perhaps better alternatives for beek geek visiting town, but this is by far the most centrally located one and perfect for a quick afternoon, early evening pint before dinner.“

“Nice corner bar on one of the main streets in the centre. Fairly Duvel Moortgat pointed but a decent enough range of staples and not so staples. Decent range of Italian beers but remarkably little from France - and what little there was felt expensive. Chatty informed service. Someone else's music imposed.“

“Good beers! After all that is what matters! Beers are brewed in the basement. The first attendant was hostile to my asking for wifi password (when the bar was completely empty mid afternoon) but the attendant that took over was very nice. 10 beers on tap. I had a 1833 black IPA (pretty good) and The Fair Black Lady very good). They are also a restaurant serving tajines. I had an excellent chocolate and stout cake. Overall it is a very nice spot to eat and drink.“

“The place itself is situated in beautiful building. Inside you will typical cosmopolitic "craft beer" vibe. Selection is not ming blowing, but local bitter was on the spot experience. Food is quite average. It's not like you gonna miss something skipping this place, but it won't hurt too.“

“Great Beer Bar with several nice Beers on Draught and a lot of Beers from the Bottle. It is a trendy place in the western side of the city centre. The service is friendly with a good acknowledgement of the beers. Also some nice things to eat. A tol of Beers form my favourite French Brewery La Debauche. The prices asre all right if you compare them with other Pubs. We drank a Pint of very nice triple IPA draught for about 8,50 Euro’s.“

“This Beer Pub is outside the touristic area. But a great surprise. It seems that this place has a long tradition. You find a lot of Beers on Draught and also several Interesting Beers from the Bottle. The service is very frendly and you can easily have a chat with other visitors. Especially a large selection of Beers from my favourite French Brewery La Debauche. The prices are a bit high if you compare them with Jaqen, my favourite Beer Bar in the City Centre.“

“The shop was closed when we were there, but the display window showed some interesting beers I had never seen, some local beers as well, and some harder to get beers. We also saw some standard Belgian beers and Brewdog. Although we couldn’t visit it, I think this is worth the mention on RB and worth a visit when you’re around.“

“This is a great store. The people are kind, knowledgable and take their time. The shelftags are very helpfull as well, listing beer style, country, primary flavours, etc. They have beers from all over Europe: English, Belgian, Dutch, but also Polish and other East European, some Nordic breweries as well, and of course a whole range of French beers, half of them from Bordeaux and the surroundings. Only downside are the prices: everything is expensive, so you could end up paying a lot for average beers.“

“Visited during summer holiday 2016. The shop/bar is located in the center of Bordeaux and pretty easy to find. Nice atmosphere and really friendly and helpfull owners. 5 tapps and ca 200 bottles, not a very big selection, though it is wide. Half of the selction is french, acomplished with a decent selction of international brews. Prices are just a little higher Than im used to in Holland, and compared to other shop in france affordable. Big recommandation!“

“Fantastic little bar/bottle shop! Stumbled upon it, close to our hotel. 5 taps of well poured beer and around 75 bottles, nice mix of French and foreign beer.....the foreign beers could be better chosen. Very nice atmosphere, good people, nice little selection of good quality snacks. All in all a very very good experience!“
