“1 minute away from Elora brewing company. During weekend both spots were super busy with 30-60 minute wait time. Handsome Devil bistro has a bit larger patio than Elora and food looked a bit better. They also had few crafts from local breweries. Service was OK, as they were swamped the wait for food was long and waitress had no time to be attentive. Cost as expected for such place. Beer offered was good but it is not craft beer centric locum. Next time I try Elora brewing.“

“2021-09-25. Nice patio, well spaced comfortable picnic tables. Umbrella was big enough that we managed to stay dry when it started to drizzle a bit. Food was good, we shared a fried chicken sandwich and a porchetta sandwich. Service was good, friendly. Beers disappointed a bit as some of the more experimental ones were just not to me taste. Core beers like the Elora Borealis are consistently solid. Would come back. Well worth a visit.“

“This is a beautiful little spot in a beautiful little town, with some amazing natural wonders you can walk right up to look at a hundred or so metres away. As cat lady said, the pub is striking with exposed timbers in ancient stone setting off the beautiful gleaming brew tanks. The atmosphere is modern but rustic and cozy. food was very nice. Not too badly priced. I enjoyed the beers that I sampled, some quite a lot. Besides the nice atmosphere and service, it was nice that the brewer Lee chatted with me.“

“Our go-to place for roadtrips in the area. The restaurant has lovely exposed brick and beam, with two floors. Huge windows in the front let in loads of natural light. Their fries are quite tasty. Beer selection is only theirs, and as the years have passed there are more selections to pick from (go figure). A great place to stop at if you are in the area.“

Shepherd’s Pub (Restaurant)
8 WEST MILL ST.
“A nice "real pub" in the basement of a historic building. Food and service are always good, as are the prices. 13 taps, 1 of which is cask (always Fullers ESB as far as I can tell), 2 other imports, and 10 rotating Ontario craft beers. Most recently some unusual/hard-to-find Ontario craft brews. Good beer spot in beautiful Elora.“

LCBO 461 - Elora (Beer Store)

“very nice LCBO in a small town, converted from a rustic old building, feels like a private liquor store, very good selection for an LCBO and the seasonals hang around longer then most big urban centre stores. service is typical of most LCBO locations. i have no idea why you are in Elora but since you are buy some beer here.“

LCBO 461 - Elora (Beer Store)

“I always have to stop here when I’m in Elora. A not-too-big LCBO with a better-than-average selection of beer. I’ve found a few things in here I’ve never seen in any other LCBO. A nicer-than-average ambiance, as it is converted from an interesting old building. Standard friendly LCBO service.“

“not bad for a small town LCBO. they often have Grand River stuff available. if you cant make it to Guelph, the Elora store is much better than the Fergus location“
