Il Molo (Bar)
VIA VIGNATAGLIATA, 1
“Medium sized pub in city center with small patio outside. 11 taps and some bottles/cans. Some Italian selection, but focused on imports. Some nice options, beers I haven't seen elsewhere. Good music. Friendly service. With not too many beer places in Ferrara this is a must visit.“

Beershop 2 Gobbi (Beer Store)
VIA BOLOGNA, 6
“Rather small beershop with patio, just outside of city center. Friendly service, but the beer is served in plastic cups. Good selection of both Italian beers and imports. Nothing super exciting, but some nice finds. My estimate would be around 200 beers. Worth checking out.“

“Overall, the Best Pub in Ferrara. The owner is a UK/US craft-culture enthusiast, and you can tell by the selection, the ambiance and the mood. Don’t come here for italian beer: every beer (drafts, cans and bottles) is either British or American, with a great rotation. Friendly service, limited but good selection of food, sports on TV.“

“Pub located right in the old district and just a stone’s throw away from Il Molo and XI Comandamento. Open around 18h30 and on time. Beer sells Birra BiRen beers exclusively and has almost the whole line-up with some additional wine, liquor, etc. Might not be the best beers out there but enough to get the whole selection. This time around they were just out of the smoked version. Friendly waiter who was willing to let me have samples of all the beers and very helpful in describing the beers. Atmosphere is nice, mostly younger crowd. Possible to eat some light grub, and as always plenty of free tapas to nibble on as well.“

“One of my favorite bar to visit in Ferrara. Also in the old district, and very easy to miss. Actually located next to the beershop for the local Birra Frara which I did not get to visit. Friendly service, waitress was cute as well which is always a plus. Surprisingly good selection of Italian craft on draft and constantly rotating. Crowd of mostly locals coming to eat for lunch or drink a coffee. As usual, grab a drink and eat some of the tapas. Light grub also available such as the piadana typical for the regione ER. Fair prices and always a possibility to drink 30cl instead of a pint. Atmosphere really is up to what you decide to make of it but chatting with the locals was quite entertaining.“

“Great British pub atmosphere right in the old medieval district of Ferrara. It does indeed feel like being in a British pub, just with the Italian touch. Beers are only UK beers, 2casks with a decent bottle line-up of Brewdog and Moor, Kernel, Wild Beer to name a few. Impressive whiskey selection as well. Very clean and modern feel with the typical football paraphernalia. The only issue I had was, as often in Italy, the opening hours which at times mean very little. I first went there when they opened, the place was still dark with benches on the tables, the guy told me to come back in 30 min. Went back over and hour later around 19h and it still was not opened. Decided to go back a few days later after fiera Ferrara, and I was lucky then. The bartender was not all that friendly, and from what I gather the owner was at his booth at the festival. Odd indeed to be fully British as a bar but to not really want to say anything in English. As usual in Italy, drink a beer and eat some of the tapas laying around. Beers are good if you are looking for something British to drink. Overall a fairly good bar in Ferrara, only low point was the service. I even offered to open a 33cl BA beer that I got at the festival, the girl working there was enthusiastic about trying it but the bartender refused, saying he had to drive. Kinda lame when the place closes around 2am, and it was just about 20h.“
