90 /100 Food Castle (Beer Store) 12821 S SAGINAW RD This place is the best! I love IPAs and they are constantly getting new selection. The store is spotless and the staff couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. Always ready to let me know what’s new! Great cheap pizza too. Hands down my favorite in Grand Blanc. |
38 /100 Oliver T’s (Beer Store) 1553 E. HILL ROAD I liked this place until some asshole - either the manager or owner - chased me out the door when I was leaving and wanted 60 cents back for six bottles that I had returned for deposit. He said he didn’t carry that brand and was furious that I returned them to Oliver T’s. He said that I needed to keep track of my beer purchases and return the bottles to the "right place." I gave him back a buck and never went back. Avoid. |
90 /100 Oliver T’s (Beer Store) 1553 E. HILL ROAD One of the best places to buy craft beers in the area. LOVE that you can make 6-packs. Some of the brand selections are a little limited, namely Short’s, which is strange. |
90 /100 Oliver T’s (Beer Store) 1553 E. HILL ROAD Huge selection, organized well. Only complaint is prices can get a bit high. Management is extremely friendly. |
72 /100 Oliver T’s (Beer Store) 1553 E. HILL ROAD Very good selection of all types of beer here. By far the best shop I’ve found in the Flint area. |
98 /100 Oliver T’s (Beer Store) 1553 E. HILL ROAD You can now grab any beer/beverage/wine/liquor off the shelf and enjoy it in their tasting room!! You can also place an order from their gourmet deli and enjoy it there too. They just updated their beer selection and now you can buy singles of any beer!! They also increased their selection to massive proportions. Just became my favorite beer store within a hundred miles. They also have great gourmet chocolate and food. Much more than beer here. |
84 /100 Oliver T’s (Beer Store) 1553 E. HILL ROAD A hidden gem in the outskirts of Flint, I was surprised that this gourmet food store carries such an excellent beer selection. Oliver T’s has the best selection of foreign beers I have found in Michigan to date, including many of the beers distributed by Shelton Bros. in Michigan. Rochefort, Fantome, De Dolle, Uerige, and pretty much anything else available in the state is here, though Cantillon is conspicuously missing. Beware some of the rare old Belgian bottles, as they are well past their prime. Domestic selection is almost equally as rich, with all of the major Michigan microbrewers represented, in addition to pretty much everything from outside of Michigan. The only weakness I could find is a relative paucity of special releases and limited release seasonals from some of the better-known Michigan breweries. In addition to the extensive beer selection, Oliver T’s carries a nice variety of glassware. Oh, and I should mention the wine selection...and the deli...and the coffee...and the candy...and the liquor...OK. You get the point. The store does sell singles, and does break six-packs, although there is no signage indicating such. One of my new favorite Michigan beer stops. Try not breaking the bank! |
