“Large place, plenty of parking, empty on Victoria Day. Small patio was closed, but when it's open there's no table service, you can't order flights there, and it's plastic cups. Inside the bar itself is a bit dark surrounded by bar tables and restaurant tables. 17 beers on tap, flights of four, five or 12 (with two people). No one knew anything about their coolship beer so I'm guessing that's a thing of the past, probably a one-off. Beers were OK, mainly hazies, kettle sours, and one grape beer which was mildly interesting. Permanent food truck was in its last hour of opening and the food I ordered was tasty but cold; the lay next to me complained her burger, which looked tasty, was cold and raw. Overall disappointing.“

“2023-12-28. Elk poutine is tasty with a thick dark gravy. Caesar salad is nice, with real bacon bits. Friendly server. Moderately busy but pretty chill mid afternoon on a weekday. Good number of tables, and a long bar. 18 taps in a good mix of styles. We tried four that were new to us and they were all decent but didn't really spark for me. Not sure if that says more about the beer or me today. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
2021-10-21. Stopped in to grab some to go cans on the way up north. Spacious nicely laid out retail store area. Poked our head into the bar area which seemed decent as well. Good selection of their own beers. Live music was enjoyable but loud enough that it made it hard to hear the cashier while wearing masks. Took the obligatory photo at the giant Muskoka chair outside. An abbreviated pandemic visit but not bad.“

“Visited when I attended Funkfest 2017. Build in an old Canadian Tire, with plenty of parking (closed for the festival). They have lots of beers only available at the brewery in cans. Good prices. They offer flights which I did not partake given my state, but I was told they are quite generous on the pours. The food truck on site was quite good...Korean beef sandwich with an excellent slaw! Gravenhurst is a lovely town too...go check it out when in the Muskokas!“

“Our go-to place when visiting the Muskoka region. Been coming here for a few years now, and their beer had been getting better over the years, which is fantastic. They have a perma-foodtruck outside that has a super tasty smoked trout sandwich; you can order outside and the super nice guy who runs it will hand deliver your food in the taproom. Servers are all very friendly. Nice taproom with big wooden tables and couple of Muskoka chairs.“

“Was driving back to Toronto from North Bay and thankfully the great folks at New Ontario Brewing told me to be sure to stop here...great advice! Sawdust City is definitely one of the better breweries I’ve visited in Ontario so far. It’s in a large warehouse type building with a store and gear area you see first as you enter with beer cases and racks/shelves of Sawdust bling. Towards the left rear is the taproom with tall windows looking into the brewery. They’ve toned down the warehouse feel with some natural wood in a number of places. When I arrived Wednesday evening last week there was a party going on...noisy but fun group...I enjoyed their company. A few were not real craftbeer drinkers (Sawdust has a bar with wine and hard alcohol too)...and got a kick out of my multiple beer flights...surprisingly not having seen them before. Again...all great people that initiated conversations with me (as did the staff). There were 12 beers on draft and I tried about 9 of the most interesting (to me). I loved the Golden Beach APA...but also the Chinook Wet Hop Tillsonburg, Blood of Cthulhu Imp Stout with chocolate and berries at 9.5%, and the 11/05 Belgium Tripel with Brett clocking in at 11.05%. The star though by far was the Fever Dream Juicin’ New England IPA...a really great milkshake IPA. I brought a couple of cans home along with the Golden Beach. I hate checking a bag when I’m doing carryons...so I don’t fly beer home frivolously...I act judiciously (or juicindiciously in this case)...I ask...is this beer "check-worthy" (as in Seinfield’s "sponge-worthy")...well it was! This is a production brewery and they are turning out some volume a good amount of which is available in cans. The food list is limited but handy (pizza mostly). This is a must stop on any Highway 11 drive between Barrie and North Bay...don’t miss it!“

“Unbelievable what they’ve done with an old Crappy Tire. Nice selection of their stuff, and a couple of guest taps. Nice rotation on their own beers. Lotsa crap to buy. The food from the truck outside (they bring it in for you) is fantastic. Solid service. A Muskoka destination for sure.“

“Great bottle shop, ample amount of their five regular beers available and super fresh. And if you are lucky you’ll find some specialty beers in there too. The tap room is great. I especially love the flights where YOU write down the numbers corresponding to the beers you want from the menu on the tasting board. The regualr beers are always there, with some nice seasonals that turn over often. I especially love that there are always new guest taps and interesting one offs. This is a must stop everytime I head south. This is a perfect example to the other breweries around! Give people a reason to stop at your place! Why would I stop in when all you have to offer is stuff I can get at the lcbo? Good job sawdust!“

“Great to see this place open. Spacious bottle shop with many can varieties. Friendly girls at the counter with smiles like jack-o-lanterns. Lots of swag about: glasses, towels, clothes & at decent prices. No time to spend in the saloon part -- which looks a little sterile at this point -- as I’m stopping here on my way up north. If i was a local id be stumbling in & out of here on a regular basis. Overall very welcoming. My favourite muskoka brewer.“
