“A very big yet boring selection from the tap and the prices seem to be rather wacky for Haifa. Not a place I'd visit again.“

“It’s OK, wasn’t worth seeking out TBH. 7 taps, 2 from Alexander, 2 from whoever makes Goldstar and 2 Tucher. Small bar area. Israel is an expensive country but even in context the bill for two beers elicited the Yorkshire motto - Ow bloody much?!“

“Visited a few months ago. Very different from the older LiBira pub. Pretty big hall, kinda industrial, reminded me of some brewpubs in The States. There’s live music most nights, too loud if you’re not there for the music. Didn’t try the food. Service was decent even if a bit slow. All the beers are still brewed at the main Salara / LiBira brewery in Gingegar, but they might start brewing some beers on-site in the future. Beers ranged from poor to mediocre when I visited, but the quality varies a lot, beers can range from awful to very good, depending on the batch. Tasters available. Overall - a decent place, a must-stop place if you’re in Haifa, now that the older LiBira pub on HaNe’emanim street is closed.“

“Pleasant enough place but not too original, some brewing equipment scatterd around that doesn’t look like it’s ever Been used. 5 taps of the breweries production and few bottles. Nicely done food and average prices. Nice place to come to when in the vicinity, but nothing too spectacular.“

“New Brewery Pub facility. Nicely decorated place, quite capacious. Beers selection is limited to LiBira/Salara brewery production only, their quality is not consistent, so it’s recommened to taste before ordering. Food is OK with standard prices. (Visited Sep2015)“

“A good place to catch ex-USSR ticks and sometim some German and Czech ones as well. Some new beers everytime I’m there. Not a great place for quality beer, but as a ticker - I like it.“

“A nice laid back place with a good ambiance in a rejuvenated part of the lower city. Beer selction is not that great but you can usually find a couple of interesting beers to linger on.“

“One of the oldest pubs in Israel. Ambiance is great, good food. Selection is standard but this place has some kind of magic.“

Beer House (Restaurant)
SHDEROT HANASI 116
“Beer House is a confusing place. It has all the ingredients for a nice beer pub, but somehow they just don’t gel together. For example, the place is pretty big, but the over-abundance of wood paneling and crap on the walls makes it feel cramped. The music is just loud enough to annoy. The food is unimpressive at best, and the service lackluster. But the thing that disturbed me the most was that they seem not to respect their beer. I was served a pint of stout that was over-carbonated, too cold, and sour. When I asked the bartender (who’s also the owner) about it he told me that the keg was fresh and that this is a relatively sour beer... And the fact that it came in the wrong glass and without a coaster was just adding insult to injury. BTW, while they do have a lot of beers on the menu, many of them are not available, and some are not what’s written (For example, I asked for a Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, and was given a Brooklyn Chocolate Stout instead. )“

HaMacolet (Bar)
KADIMA 1, CARMEL CENTER
“Finally a true neighborhood pub (although not located in my neighborhood) in Carmel. I really liked the fact that they serve Israeli boutique beers and other beers I had not seen elsewhere in Haifa. Loose and relaxed atmosphere and you can also (I think) come with slippers and pajamas. Unique pub design and impressive, yet not bright and noisy. I really loved and sure come back again many times.“

“Beautiful Irish Pub with great atmosphere. The pub offers a large abd variable selection of beers. There is good separation between smokers and nonsmokers. The service requires improvement.“
