“Just had a pint of Kid Dynamite and I’m sold. The perfect combination of a hazy’s fruitiness and a proper beer’s bitterness.“

“Solid spot if you’re in the bustling metropolis of Napier-Hastings. About 10 taps, maybe half their beers and half guests, largely local. Pru happening on weekend nights. Good food menu, mostly bar food.“

“Wow this place is lovely. The service we had from the lady on hand was warm welcoming, and just plain good. The beer was nice, the atmosphere, looking out over the grapes (used for the other side of there business.) was so relaxing. Great place will come back here.“

“Beer selection was ok. IPA's was average. A couple of better than average drops in the 5 beer selection we had. The food was overpriced. Not the best food either. Service was suprisingly bad for NZ as well. Almost as if the guy didn't want to be there. The place was ok, but having been to Abbey Estate and Zeffer Cider Co. there was no comparison. This place well under par. Don't go here for a good experience. Come here to pick up perhaps a take away bottle of their Dark beer.“

“Visited on a rainy and rather dreary Saturday lunch time so the Brave taproom was a welcomed respite from the outside weather. Mostly white features with basic furniture and seating. The brewing kit is located out back. There is a slick tap feature behind the bar and beer selection is printed out and posted on individual hanging clipboards. Only two Brave beers pouring on my visit with the Peoples Pils particularly tasting good. The remainder of taps were from Kiwi breweries with some notably big hitting brews. The space is shared with Carr’s kitchen that dishes up burgers, wings, hotdogs and more from the menu. Friendly staff and overall a pleasant spot to grab a beer. It was just a shame there wasn’t more of a selection of house beers but I understand it’s still early days so this should improve in due course. This is my favourite place in Napier/Hastings.“

“Nice little place outside of Hastings - a winery AND brewery, which is something very much needed in the world. Way out in the country, you can taste both wines and beers there for no charge, then you can buy bottles of course. The wines are pretty much average, but the beers were fairly tasty. I’d go back.“

“Really good service and selection of NZ Craft Beer - with most breweries represented as well as a selection from Belgium and the UK. I asked for them to order a particular beer in and next time it was there - there are always staff there to make recommendations and/or chat about craft beer.“
