Oktogon (Bar)
16 STATION ROAD
“The former Bonhams sale room. An awesome looking place, but given the area it’s super expensive and I must say they didn’t have a particularly inspiring beer selection but decent quality. Ten beers on tap and no bottles of note. Come for the ambience, not for the ticks.“

Ale Rooms (Bar)

“A friendly community micro pub in the heart of Knowle with seven cask ales and fifty different gins! The ales are mainly from the Midlands and seem reasonably well kept. The decor is classic mid 20th century with mirrors wood, tiles and war era colouring. Friendly staff, working wifi. Seats around 40. Worth a visit and I will certainly return.“

“A food oriented Ember pub located on the Warwick Road in the heart of Knowle town centre. It’s olde worlde on the outside but with a thoroughly modern, very tastefully decorated interior. There are a couple of fruit machines we could probably do without though! There are three cask ales and a number of guests plus six fizzy lagers, Guinness and a few ciders. There is a small bottle selection too. The major downside to this place is the supply of real ales where many of them are often not available. However, the ales they do have are well kept and they have a Cask Marque certificate. The food looks great too , but I must admit ive never eaten here. It’s an ideal place to spend an evening or to relax after a day’s shopping!“

“An indoor pub with very few obvious windows apart from a small one at the front but packed full of old English atmosphere. Oak beams fill the interior and plenty of stuffed fish adorn the walls. If there was ever a pub that I’d love to get snowed into, this is it! There are twelve taps of which six are regularly rotating real ales. Don’t come here for bottled beer. The lunchtime food is great too. There is no wifi. It’s surprising these days, but I can live with that. This place has been Solihull CAMRA pub of the year on numerous occasions, a title which is richly deserved!“
