76 /100 HUPPENDORF 25 4 absolutely wonderful beers - Franconian taste & quality at it’s best! |
78 /100 HUPPENDORF 25 Nice and quiet place in a small village. Very friendly owners. Good food, good beer, cheap prices. Worth a visit. |
70 /100 HUPPENDORF 25 Large complex of buildings with the gasthof in the center. Small Stammtisch up front against a warm fire place. 4 or so different taps with more bottles. We were treated very politely and offered free bottles and glassware when they realized we were beer touring. Sadly the beer was only okay, the bottled unfiltered Vollbier was oxidized and stale and the draft filtered version was decent hoppy and malty but still fell short. Huppendorfer is called a favorite by a lot of people who live in the area, and with how variable Franconian breweries can be I still hold out hope that their draft beer can rock. I’ll still try it but not go out of my way for it. |
70 /100 HUPPENDORF 25 My wifes favorite brewery. Everytime we are in Franconia we seem to stop there for a good lunch and a beer. Lovely patio, service can be a little bit slow sometimes but the food is great. Cheap, friendly and worth a stop. |
