Der Altwirt (Restaurant)
MARKTSTR 13
“We visited here Boxing Day (Thursday) 2019, we had done a lot of walking in the deep snow up Brauneck. Des Altwirt was another good find in Lenggries, It's located centrally on one of the main streets (Marktstraße) for shopping and restaurants. To the left hand side as you view it head on is a Biergarten. It clearly is a very old building and looking on its website it's described as being one of the oldest buildings 'of its type' in Bavaria, it dates from 1469 I think it said. As you enter there was a door either side (both bar/restaurant rooms) we took the right hand one which had a few tables with folk eating and drinking, *please note that they were more than happy for us to just have a beer. It was wood everywhere, staff wore traditional clothing, their were some great pictures on the walls, child friendly, dog friendly, in fact very welcoming. On tap they had Tegernseer Hell, König Dunkel, Schneider Hefe-Weisse, there was another which I forget. In bottle Hopfenweisse, Aventinus Weizenbock, Aventinus Eisbock, two from Tegernsee, Spaten, etc. It was a nice little list prices also very reasonable, we had the Aventinus Weizenbock, Aventinus Eisbock and at €3.60 and €3.40 respectively, I thought that they were great value. The food looked good and the portions (Schnitzel) were huge. Liked this place.“

Floßwirt Lenggries (Restaurant)
BAHNHOFSTR. 1
“We visited here on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas Day 2019. Lenggries isn't such a big place, however for location purposes it's probably easiest to just say that it's located just across from the railway station so is pretty easy to find. On the Xmas Eve, we'd walked from the campsite and had spent an hour or so wandering in and out of shops and waiting for the pubs and bars to open as we were hungry. Floßwirt Lenggries is a lovely little restaurant/bar, there is a small beer garden out the front and inside it is simply furnished with wooden furniture. There is an area around the bar just for those wishing to have a beer, though they were also very happy for us to sit at a table on our second visit on Xmas Day. The food is excellent, we had Schnitzel and it was €11.80 and tasted great. The beers were from Spaten, Franziskaner with the core range, I had the Dunkel, Loz the Hefe-Weiss. When we visited on Xmas Day it had been after a walk and we were very wet, however this wasn't a problem, we were welcomed as if we were locals and that is what we loved about this place, we felt welcomed and it was very down to earth and inviting. We decided that this would probably be our local if we lived here.“
