Left with a handful of sashimi-quality packed & sealed salmon instead, compensating the unbelievable lack of fishmongers in this unique salmon fishing area.“ |

Dipped in to say hi and see what the newish Eldhuset family farmyard holds, only to get a friendly full tour of the microbrewery, ending up trading Belgian saison for a good selection of their 8ish-bottle lineup. Particularly interesting: the simple, raw and purist 4,5% Gårdsøl which imho comes closer to historic farmyard-produced simple saison than many craft-gentrified specimens. Many other modern styles from Weiss to APA available to introduce local patrons of their restaurant to international beer styles.“ |

Grocery stores have reliable opening hours, but not the same ambiance and service. But indeed praiseworthy that the local grocery store offers local beer. (Visited July 17th 2017)

| 60 /100 SVALIVEGEN 6 “A farm and brewery in the middle of the small town of Overhalla/Ranemsletta. Both names are in use. Call in advance and make sure they are at home before visiting. In "Potetbua" you can buy potatoes and the farm also offers Christmas trees, fishing licence in the river Namsen and (soon) banqueting in the old restored barn. Four different beers available in the summer of 2017. You can also purchase the same bottles in the nearby Spar grocery store. But, it is always more fun to visit a microbrewery!
