“The Isle of Wight Distillery, producers of Mermaid Gin are actually based on the rear of a pub, which was formerly called the Wishing Well. We were there for the brewery shop found ourselves at an attractive modern decored pub overlooking a hillside which we were informed was being prepared as a vineyard. The tiny distillery shop (and the distillery) is in an extension at the back and also sold some ciders. However the place is really still a pub and as well as some macro stuff had three Goddards beers on. One would have been a tick but I didn't realise at the time (Longshore Lager, unless it's rebadged Planet Lager). It also does coffees and the food looked good. Basically come here for a beer in an attractive setting abut then buy cider, gin and wine. As we were initially the only people we were given an impromptu talk in gin.“
