The staff were friendly and efficient although I did worry a little for my safety - there were signs on the patio warning of loose tiles on the roof of a gazebo which was very much in use; this in addition to a sign saying that shirts must be worn at all times. The mind boggles.

It’s not really a beer destination but they have five casks and the pub is listed by CAMRA as being of historical importance on the basis of its original 1930s interior.

The service was friendly and there was a good beer selection - about eight casks and six kegs with a mixture of their own beers and others’. The beer was in good condition.
