“As Travlr said this place was recommended to us by Mauro, the Mastino brewer. And it turned out to be a great recommendation. Fantastic pizza, probably the best I've ever had, very good service. Not a beer geeks heaven, but they do have a decent list of Italian micros, certainly more than one would expect in pizza place. A must stop for lunch if you're in the area.“

“The waiter from Drunken Duck recommended this brewery so we decided to give it a shot. Located in what seems like a industrial neighborhood. Once we reached the brewery we realized we've missed the opening hours, but Mauro was kind enough to give us a VIP treatment - short tour and have a couple of beers with us. We've really enjoyed the fresh lagers from a tank on a hot day. They have a small taproom with maybe 5-6 taps and they had some beers in bottles as well. In the end I'm glad we've stopped here although that wasn't the initial plan.“

“Lunch recommendation by Mauro the brewer at Birrificio Mastino, and what a recommendation! He told us it is one of the top 5 pizzerias in Italy, and I believe him. Service is excellent, the pizza (three totally different styles) is tasty and creative. AND prices are reasonable. Two Baladin beers on tap and a handful of interesting bottles. Sadly they don't carry Mastino beer, I think it would pair perfectly. Great place“

“This is a small shop and tasting room just in front of the production facility. Brewer Mauro showed us around, nice system with horizontal lagering tanks. They do seven beers, four of them lagers, all very crisp, tasty and easy drinking, exactly what we needed on a hot early summer day. Be aware that Google maps shows the brewery in the town itself, but it's a few blocks away in a light industrial area.“
