“Great little place off the beaten path. No one there but the brewer himself and his dog. All the beers on tap were high quality stuff. Glad I stopped in!“

“As was previously mentioned, the brewery is a converted barn. The atmosphere is down-home and friendly. It’s like old-home week most of the time with locals bringing in their growlers to be filled. Very cool, actually, and a lot of fun. The owner will take you on a tour pretty much any time he has the time. The beers, while not super adventurous, are good solid beers. Can’t beat the freshness. To echo another reviewer, I love to support a local brewer. Really glad they are within 25 miles of where I live. Side-note: I served their IPA to some friends (not real big beer drinkers), and they commented that it was the best beer they’d ever had!“

“Odd but interesting. No whales but a surprising number of semi-obscure beers for rural Maine. The downside is that many of them are far from fresh, lots of 2012 . product including many beers that don’t age all that gracefully. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.“

“I love to support the local brewer , the beer was great . Customer service was very poor, they need one more person and maybe a small store front. Bring cash ,no cards accepted“

“Bigger brewery than I would expect for just one person running it. Owner was gracious enough to map out a great route for our trip into Canada. Offering six of the eight total beers in bombers.“

“Mentioned on the Oak Pond Brewery website as a stockist. As the brewery has very restricted hours, and I didn’t happen to be passing during them, this seemed the most convenient place to seek out the beers. Doesn’t look a lot from the outside and doing a roaring trade in Bud Lite and ciggies. However the craft beer selection was a pleasant surprise and they had crammed a lot into a quite small space. Picked up 5 Oak Pond bombers for a ludicrously low price and also found 3 Penobscot Bay beers that I wasn’t expecting at all. Otherwise, the selection is quite extensive but lacking real rarities. Although I didn’t visit any other nearby stores, I’d guess this is pretty good for the area.“

“Was driving on route 2 and saw a tiny green sign for Oak Pond Brewing, slammed on the brakes and felt like I was lost on a tiny rural road. Was the only one there except for Nancy and her son (wish I remembered his name). Tasted a few of the beers on tap and walked out with a few bottles. I really appreciate the fact that the heaviest beer isn’t really that heavy, they’re the kinds of beer that you’re always in the mood for. Definitely stop by if you get the chance, might be worth a call ahead although I got the impression they’re usually there. The place had a wonderful vibe, it made me pleased to be alive.“

“Établissement visité le samedi 28 juin vers 14h00. Ambiance: La brasserie est situé en plein campagne à environ 10 minutes de la ville. Les installations sont situé au rez de chaussée d’un ancien poulailler. Service: Très sympathique. Présentation des produits ainsi qu’une visite de la brasserie. Sélection: Lors de mon passage 5 bières étaient disponible pour emporter. (98e rating d’établissement)“

“This place is pretty out of the way, but it is a great experience if you ever get a chance to visit. It is in an old barn that has been converted to a brewery. The brewer and his wife live in a house right next to the barn and they will be happy to show you everything you want to see any answer any of your questions. Not only is it fun to walk around a barn with the brewer, but this place has some pretty good beers too. I’d recommend trying a few and buying some growlers of your favorites. If you go back you can bring back your empty growlers and get a discount when refilling them. This is a classic family operation that is friendly and does a good job making tastey beer.“
