30 /100 BREWER’S END,
“Visited on Saturday night on 9th October 2021. Booked into a B&B just across the road for an early flight from Stanstead on Sunday morning. The pub is a two roomed affair with a pool table in a sparsely furnished one and a more friendly lounge option. England football game on the TV's and some loud locals didn't help the ambiance. Luckily it wasn't too busy, but still deafening. One cask ale on and a selection of keg lager, it's not really a beer hunters venue and although our meal was OK I will not be revisiting in a hurry.“

36 /100 BREWER’S END,
“This place most likely won’t be visited by fellow Ratebeerians except in one case - spending the night at Stansted. We’ve stayed at Travelodge after an afternoon flight which left us with very limited options for a pint before going to bed. We’ve decided to walk to Takeley, place nearest to Stansted, which had only pubs we could walk to. We’ve decided to take a shortcut across the field and managed to get to the other side with no major problems (I don’t consider crashed bridge and jumping over the creek a major problem). Our first choice was The Green Man pub just down the road, but for some reason it was closed. So instead of returning to the hotel we’ve decided to visit The Four Ashes. It’s a local pub, except us there were only local guys playing pool. If I recall correctly there were two real ales, one being Wherry, which is drinkable. They had Courage Light Ale in bottle which was barely drinkable. Also Guinness and some macro lagers. Not worth visiting, of course except you’re spending the night at the airport without car, you can’t make it to the Bishop’s Stortford and other pubs like The Green Man are closed.“
