78 /100 1521 DANFORTH RD 2024-09-28. A handful of old tables on the grass, with a small tasting bar inside. There is also a cool old barn that seems like it is maybe set up for events? Nice playlist today including Sinatra and Chet Baker. Friendly server / winemaker. We did a tasting of three ciders and got a bottle to go. The Scrumpy was very good. |
66 /100 658 DANFORTH RD New addition to the PEC scene. Close to Strange Brew Studio and Gillingham. This is truely a garage operation, located in the garage of a couple in their bungalow (similar to the early Evergreen location in Ottawa) but they have a consume on premise license. 4 beers on tap on my visit (but they have 10 taps), flight was 12$, beers were OK to tasty (i actually preferred their Margarita Gose to their IPAs). Friendly service from a couple of beer fanatics. If you are in the area, go for it. |
68 /100 266 MAIN ST. Visited on September 26, 2018, in the afternoon. Located in a former meat packing plant in the heart of Wellington, with parking (on the brewery side). Small patio in front. The inside is divided in two section, the larger brewing and drinking section and the smaller shop/grocery section. The drinking section has exposed tank, long bar and communal tables. The beer menu has the typical stuff, but none of them are in the strong category, like their IPA is almost at the same alcohol level as their session, under 5%. I had their stout, quite nice. Did not eat. The store section has a very limited selection of beer, maybe because it's the middle of the week. But they do have foods from local producer for sale. Goofd friendly staff. I nice place and something for the locals, don't have to drive to Picton! |
68 /100 266 MAIN ST. 2018-09-03. Bigger than expected, large cinderblock building comes off as cozier than it could in a relatively industrial space. Tanks are right next to the seating. Long bar and lots of tables. Friendly server. Six of 12 taps are their own. They also have some other local beers including Strange which is hard to find. Nice spot. Beers were all decent but not particularly exciting, the locally hopped Summer Ale was the most interesting to me today. Coors Light drinker beside me at the bar! |
64 /100 North Docks (Bar) 153 WELLINGTON MAIN STREET 2018-09-03. Right on the Docks in Wellington as noted in the name. Nice patio is too hot for us today so we opted for the AC inside for a quick drink. Friendly server. Short tap list of mostly local accessible craft options. Food menu looks decent. Ticking Strange Brewing off my breweries list was the main draw for me today. Nice enough spot in the county.

70 /100 266 MAIN ST. What a great location in PEC, off à main street in an old industrial building. Nice simple menu with burgers. Only 3 offerings from the brewery, with 7 guest taos. Beers were ok, nothing special. I do wish they can expand the it repertory. |
