“Been here a couple of times, actually the first time was late in the evening, and I was confused between the 2 locations, last visit was 26th March 2024. I landed in Linate about 13.00 and got an Uber straight to the pub, which made sense as it’s only 10 minutes away, so I was enroute to my hotel by The Duoma. I ended up having a pasta dish, which wasn’t very good, but hearty. The beers here are a similar range to the other location, about 20 taps, most are different, all of their own beers. This time some of the beers were served in 0.33as well as 0.4 others were only 0.4 even for the 8.0 percent double IPA, which was odd. I had 4 or 5 beers, including an imperial stout, which they did serve in 0.15. The staff were happy to chat and friendly and offered as many tasters as you wanted. It’s a good place, and open throughout the day, from morning, the only place for craft I think, most open around 5pm“

“This is a small bar located on the Naviglio Grande, Milan's historic canal. Inside there are about 30 seats while an outdoor patio hosts about 16. On the days of my visit there were 14 taps, although not all were pouring, all of the San Gabriel brand. Take away beer is available in mixed four packs. Glass sizes are small (30cl) and large (40cl) and are craft beer priced. Service was more pub-style than brew bar style and staff had a basic understanding of the brews on offer (language barriers not with-standing). A display board outside lists all of the brews with a brief description, as does their menu. Food is mostly German-style beer hall fare. Non-beer is spirits. Worth a visit for the beers and views.“

“Located in a safe area close to Milano Centrale, this is a medium-sized, modern venue and was popular with locals. Inside there is a bar as well as table seating (for about 55) while outside (even in winter) there are a few tables to accommodate smokers. Staff were very friendly and helpful and offered service at the bar and table (via QR code or verbally). On the nights of my visit they were pouring eight taps (all their own core brews; there don't appear to be any 'specials') and also had 12 cans on the menu (including one gluten-free and one no-alcohol). Glass sizes were 30cl (€5-7) and 40cl (€6-8) while flights of four (15cl each) were available at €12. Non-beer included cider on tap and spirits. Food selection was basic (snacks, antipasta, burgers, etc.) and it is best to avoid the spicy corn nibbles offered with the beers. Worth a visit.“

Shallo Beer Shop (Beer Store)
VIA MONTEBELLO 14
“A small shop with a very well-curated beer selection, both the bottles and the taps, including some hard-to-find beers. Reasonable prices. They also serve small pours (0.2l), which is good for the beer tickers among us. Very friendly service. Highly recommended.“

“2022 rating: as a fan of tipopils, and Italiano in general, this was disappointment because my expectations were really high. The bar is cold and empty, beers were not the best condition, and selection was limited mostly to classics. Food was also below average (for Italy). Ok place to visit, but not nearly as good as I hoped.“

“2022 rating: what Marduk said, it's more cafeteria, but craft beer selection was fine. The important part is that it's open early, so can be visited when the "proper" craft beer bars are still closed.“

“2022 rating: what Marduk said. Ok beers, but not worth 30/L+ € you have to pay + they didn't let us know about the price before, so service was so so.. The excuse that these are just Milano prices are also bullshit, because it was the single most expensive craft beer place in Milano...“

“Craft beer bar in the canal district. Large space in the corner, one of the few open before 5pm. About 16 taps, Italian craft focus. Slow slow service is a drawback. Decent selection. 6-7 Euro for mostly pint shakers. They have a kitchen, but i did not try the food.“

“Visited 18.06.23 on a weekend in Milano after doing a text mining course at GSERM in St Gallen the week preceding it. Lots of people sitting outside on the large pavement patio at midnight on a warm summer evening. Good beer and good service. Nice atmosphere. Their own beers on tap. The one I had was very good!“

“Visited 16.06.23, after doing a text mining summer course at GSERM in St Gallen. Busy and noisy on a Friday evening, so it’s most likely a popular place among the locals. Industrial style interior. Around 10 or 12 of their own beers in tap with a good variety of beer styles. The two beers I tried were very decent with good drinkability. Staff spoke English and were almost running and seemed to be too few for such a busy evening. I will be back during daytime when it’s probably more quiet. They also do food, and the dish I had was OK. Indoor and outdoor seating.“

“Visited 18th October 22. Nice looking open place and seating outside, it was still warm enough to do this. Beers were great here, including the Tipopils and a wet hop version of it, other lagers, German style beers, also excellent. 0.2 pours available and then I also found out by asking that they do so flights of 0.15 - worth knowing earlier, had I thought to ask“

Bere Buona Birra (Beer Store)
VIA ADIGE 13
“Visited 18th October 22. Another business trip. The place opens slightly earlier on a Tuesday than most of the other craft beer places, 5pm, so went here first. The bar is friendly and comfortable, 5 taps, all Italian, including an Alder IPA, and a Helles, which I went for, both were very good and they were happy to serve a 0.2 portion. The fridges had a good mix, U.K. and other countries, good stuff from Italian micros, which I was targeting, the girl running it said that had all the Alders, I took a bunch to take away, along with some other cans, nice small micros and one Lambrate. The bargirl seemed upset sadly and kept crying, maybe some bad news or something, the locals were trying to help her. For sure a good place to head to“

“Fairly small bar in the East part of Milano. Post-industrial ambiance, with raw walls, and neons. 15 taps with a very nice selection of unusual Italian breweries and some famous international ones. Nice casual environment, they're not taking themselves too seriously. Found the publican drinking at another beer bar the next night, on his free day. He's very knowledgeable about beer. Overall, a nice discovery!“

“Nice bar just next to central station. Being an official bar of Birrificio Italiano, they only have their own beers on tap, with all the classics. Interesting choice to propose the new champenoise method beers, obviously only from bottles. Kind service, the position of the bar is very useful for those in the surroundings of the train station, although they only open at 6PM. Overall, I'd like to be back again!“

“Quite large place near the big railway track thingy. We had to walk about 10 minutes, so no big deal. Clean and empty with Nordic design. Range of beers, but no flights. I've had better Tipopils than one in here. Food was ok, but small for a price. Worth a visit.“

“Some nice walking distance away from main transportation hub(s). Road repairs and chaotic bus timetable didn't help either. So we were forced to walk. But once you get here you are happy you didn't skip it. Beers are fresh and in different styles. They don't do flights, but it doesn't matter. English spoken, card accepted. Would walk again.“

“We stumbled to this place by accident, just by browsing recent ratings in Untappd. Anyway small place with nice food selection. They do lunch specials and prices are cheap. Best pasta in Italy for me! They seem to be semi-official taproom for Birrificio War. 6 taps and all theirs. Good quality. One of the few beer places which opens noon, so worth to step in.“

“Not hard to find and easily accessible by public transport. It was completely empty, we were only customers. Some barely English spoken. They do "flights", but I wouldn't recommend those. The reason is they will scam you. To us 6x75ml tasters (was promised 100ml) cost 15 euros EACH! This is absolutely ridiculous price! We tried to argue, but then "no comprehende English" kicked in. Yeah right. I wouldn't recommend this place even to enemies.“
