Dunkles Bier, das aber weder im Geruch noch im Geschmack in irgendeiner Form besonders ist. Ein bisschen malzig, ansonsten extrem langweilig. Getrunken vom Fass in "The Inn at Keystone", Keystone/CO.

Had this one a while ago. 12 oz bottle pours black with a off white head. Aroma of malts and grains. Taste is mostly malts.

Retired? Bottle in neighbors cooler. Very thin, malty, but with mild roast notes. Doesn’t do much for me. Very bland.

12oz bottle (old notes0-Pours cola like with a decent head. Aroma of malt. Taste of the same along with the typcial pale lager. This light bodied brew was the first dark beer I ever tried.

Smells like white coffee that has been left on the cup overnight. Flavour is nothing, mud, sewage water and brown sugar. NOT retired. The beer is still alive, made in SL, MO.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2015 Bottle , 7-11 Taipei City .Got some hateful reviews this one. Thoroughly undeserved also. I actually like Michelob and the dark isn’t a bad beer at all. Okay it isn’t a ’real’ dark beer but most of the lagers on the market are false tasting crappy macros. Nose is dark malt with a nice pour and thin head. It has a mild burnt malt taste with a thick malty mouthfeel. In Taiwan it’s 5.2% not 5% so the extra strength means yoiu get your moneys worth.

I’m rating this on memory because I don’t really want to have to drink another one. I’m gonna second the dirty water comment below - I wouldn’t go so far as to consider it a proper dark, just crappy lager with food colouring.

Pours a lucid coffee brown, nose is like a wet dog and a struck match, tastes like dirty water.

Bottle. This one is mostly on memory. This was a favorite of mine back in college. My friends said it tasted like "motor oil". From what I remember it had a burnt toast, coffee type of taste. It was dark it color and I liked it. I guess I’ve always loved dark beer.
