UPDATED: JUN 23, 2019 This is a backlog rating from 2009 , from notes.  When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again. Words to describe this beer are grainy, tart cherries, somewhat medical.

Not a fan of this beer. Cherry beers are hard to balance since they can so easily end up tasting medicinal. This one doesn’t make the grade. Tried for the first time in 2009.

Exactly as stated. Light cherry scent and sweet flavor. The mouth is light and refreshing. Flavored just right for the type of beer. Not my thing, but what it should be per description. Even yellow color. Nice carbonation. Hops and barley were present. Tap

12 ounce bottle thanks to Will. Light cherry flavor and a medium body. Ok, if nothing to be excited about.

Bottle. Cherry aroma and intense cherry flavor. Very tart. Like drinking cough syrup, I will pass on this one in the future.

An American style fruit beer made with Wisconsin’s Door County cooking cherries and lager yeast. The tartness of the cherry is balanced with the sweetness from the 2-row barley and the flavoring of Mt. Hood hops.

12oz bottle. Mild fruit in the aroma. Sweet and tart malt and cherry with a tapering and watery finish. Not bad, but not one I would gravitate towards again.

Pours a reddish orange. Aromas of tart cherries and wheat. Tastes fairly acidic with a very sour and tart overtone. Has a strong fake cherry taste that is slightly rancid. I’ve had better cherry beers.

Aroma of cherry, taste is artificial cherry, and lots of yeast. will pass in the future.

"there;s still hints of a mediocre brew underneath, but because the cherry part is done well, this is the best LF beer i’ve had of 9. the cherry part tastes natural, smells sweet and has a very pleasing tart aftertaste. otherwise, i’d pass on this.
