Patrickctenchi finally gets his backlog in. Never in our wildest dreams when we were drinking crap macros in his parent’s basement in 1985 would we imagined that we would both drink 1000 different Hoosier beers (especially since there were only about 2 or 3 back then at most). Has truly taken to the site with gusto.

Let me give you a little backstory...when we were teenagers----I mean, of legal drinking age...of course....the bulk of us thought the epitome of cool was Bacardi 151, Wine Coolers, and a bottle of Grolsch with a swing-top....maybe a big-ass can of Foster’s....very rare back then....we were all Macro drinkers, (when we could get any)......then Shrubber85 shows up with a six pack of Michelob Dark....hell, the only dark beer any of us knew about was from watching "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne....and rumours of Guinness....it was different, most made faces and grimaced, and really didn’t like it except for the look and the "ooohhhhhhhhhhh" factor....but that was the Shrubber...
Jump forward almost 30 years, and I make a facebook post about drinking an Anchor Steam, and my old friend reconnects...and urges me into RateBeer.......and today, I’m as big a nut-job as the rest of the ratebeerians....It’s expensive, time-consuming and obsession-ridden, but damn, it’s fun...
I really enjoy being in this world-wide forum....and meeting and talking to other people that revel in this madness.
Cheers to all!
