Apart from 15% and 68% (presumably polish) the label’s all in foreignish, and I’m confused. |
This brewery, Kitaoka Shuzo, is not in the database yet. I’m leaving for Germany in an hour, but I will add it when I get a chance. I might need reminding. |
Estonian alco-reg says that brewery is Kitaoka-Horten Co. |
Any news about this one? |
KyotoLefty is one of our Japanese admins, he’ll know how to add it best. :) |

Just a question... shouldn’t Yatagarasu be in the name too? Leaving it out might create confusion. |
My impression is that Yatagarasu is the original Japanese name, shortened to Yata for the foreign market. I supposed I would alias them if anyone rated the other. Putting both names in is also no problem. I generally try to avoid super long sake names, because they do get out of control very quickly. |
I prefer it as it is now, actually, without the brewery name. This is against the normal way of doing things on RB, but often the brewery name is only in small letters on the label (as it is on this one) and no one refers to the sake by the brewer’s name. |
Many thanks KyotoLefty! And thanks for doing the photo, Marko! |
thanks, KyotoLefty & Marko! |
