Saw some six packs of this locally. Listed at 5.8% and 30 IBUs. The ABV is a full percent lower than what is listed for the Winter ESB. Also, packaging colors are very similar to one another.

So, are ESB and Winter ESB the same beer? Or, is ESB a new beer?

Yeah, these are the same beer. I think there was probably a typo for the percentage on the site here and it has been updated. A couple years ago they changed the name from Winter EBS to just ESB; however, it is still their winter seasonal. I’ll put an alias in for this since it no longer is marketed as "Winter".
