Hey guys! |
Konnopkes Imbiss is well known for its "Currywurst", so sausage with currytomatosauce. |
There’s also the Döner Kebab: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-24685617 |
Thanks allot for the tips! Döner Kebab is quite common in Sweden as well, unless there is some difference Im not aware of. I wouldn’t mind a currywurst, I usually have one when I’m out driving in Europe. Any tips for where I can get a nice schweinhaxe or similar? |
I hear that "Zur Haxe" in Prenzlauer Berg ist quite good, but I cannot confirm, since I’ve never been there. |
In Germany Yelp is used a lot. So if you select the area you are and search for German Food/Restaurant and select one with good reviews and appealing fotos usually you are good to go. |
Forget "traditional german food", it is in most cases made by the use of cheap and bad meat, frozen vegetables and other "convenience" products. |
Quite good and mostly organic food is available in "Markthalle 9", the home of HEIDENPETERS brewery... |
SinH4: Thanks, I will make note of that. |

Originally posted by Nightfall We where in Hamburg and Schwerin, had some nice food in both. Started with a schnitzel at a brewpub in Hamburg and it was just what I was looking for. Schwerin was a great town, we didn’t know much about it and went a bit on chance and it payed off. |
