Also known as Super Styrian, this hop was originally grown in Slovenia as a cross between Northern Brewer and a local landrace hop. Similar character to Styrian Goldings but with twice the alpha acid. Aurora is spicy, herbal and moderately bittering. Descriptions and reviews of most beers employing Aurora hops describe them as pleasantly hoppy and velvety smooth.
