“We visited here Friday 2nd June 2023. We were able to park up at the adjacent Rathaus carpark which offered a few Wohnmobil parking spaces, these were free of charge, were quite private in terms of location, quiet, with water and chemical disposal provision and also free electricity hook-up. I understand that you can get a bus direct from Vilshofen an der Donau, which in turn is on mainline railway line, so if you wish to travel by public transport then check out the local transport options or use Google maps. The brewery is a klosetr brewery and looks very impressive. There are lots of rooms inside, a rose garden out the back and outside seating biergarten out the front, where one can bring their own food (and lots of people do!). There were lots of locals, lots of people came by bike though all but one were E-Bikes and a good mix of ages and people types. We loved it here and had 4 beers each, there were a few beers on tap and others available via bottle, prices were great. Staff were very friendy, food was a little limited, just a few dishes and mostly sausages. There is a shop in the corner which sells a huge range of their beers as well as a few others from local breweries. It was a beautiful day, we were sat outside, it was a fabulous here, we really loved it.“

“We came here on 29.10.2016 the last weekend of the Bavarian annual exhibition which is dedicated to beer in Bavaria due to the 500 year anniversary of the purity law in 2016. The exhibition was very interesting explaining well the history of the purity law and the importance of beer in this region. We also visited the brewery. Very modern brewhouse within the traditional walls of the monastery. They also have a small scale pilot brewery with a mash tun made out of glas. We had lunch in the attached Bräustübel. The Helles is an average Bavarian style lager (dark lager and Weissbier also available). Food and service were decent.“

“Excellent place! Located by the beautiful abbey in nice old building ,this place is all Bavarian. Typical beer-halls, noisy crowd, traditional music & delicious (Helles, Weis & Dunkel) beer. On my TOP-list.“
