“Huge food area in a small town’s independent department store. Came here five or six years ago and was very impressed. Not sure if I’d built it up in my mind or if it’s genuinely gone downhill, but was rather disappointed on revisiting. The food selection is still extensive and interesting, but seemed to have less local products than it used to, and was over-run with elderly tourists. The beer selection has certainly drastically declined though; only seemed to have Woodfordes, Grain and Sam Smiths standard offerings on this visit. Not worth going out of your way for, although if you’re in the town you may as well stick your head in.“

“Describes itself as an exceptional department store, and isn’t far wrong. Stocks local beers and a range of Sam Smith’s in the drinks section of the food hall, where it house an amazing collection of sort-after wines from around the world. Some of the breweries also supply gift boxes. The shop also has a beer of the month. It is a bit pricy, but its well worth a visit, not just for the drink department, but the delicatessen counter is also a sight to behold!“
