Super Session #2 is designed to be a light and refreshing beer with low alcohol, yet the full hop character of a Session IPA. Each beer in our Super Session series is brewed with the same malt base and specialty malts but features a different single-hop variety. MacNJ (425) - New Jersey, USA - APR 23, 2023
UPDATED: APR 23, 2023 Nose is an impressive tropical fruits explosion. Appearance is the hallmark of the NE IPA style. Taste is a mix of happiness (Citra Hops?) and earthy dankness. Light and freshening, for sure. Outstanding session! Cheers!

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2023 Backlog 3/31/21: Can from Liberty Beer. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Amarilla nose with tangerine and orange, but not overly sweet aromas like a lot of Amarillo brewed beers. Lots of pine and resin on the palate, more pith and orange as it warms up. Good sesher.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2021 Can from weis. Pours like a pretty decent beer, lots of foamy white head. Taste is a little more fruity than most ipa. It lacks that cabbage flavor so common in many session IPA, yet remain bitter into an near double IPA bitterness. Becomes quite sharp in the middle, almost astringent in nature. A little unnatural towards the end. Yes, that unnatural sharp bitterness really gets in my face on the finish. Would not dink again. But that don't mean much, I don't drink most IPA a second time, LOL.

brigg (1460) - New York, USA - MAR 15, 2021
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2021 (Can) Orange amber body with a haze, and large off-white head with thick lacing. Nice malt and hop aroma; caramel, toasted hops; strong, crisp hops; pine, citrus peel. Medium body, moderate, soft carbonation, creamy texture. Strong malty base, caramel, toast; strong hops with pine, grapefruit peel. Solid; really good for a session ale; maybe my new go-to for a lower ABV.

UPDATED: FEB 20, 2021 Can from the Foodery on a slushy night in Philly celebrating my escape from Memphis. This is a hoppy, flavorful session IPA with a strong malt backbone. Nicely brewed!

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2021 One pint can. Pours a medium, lasting faint head, moderate lacing, over a clear dark yellow (SRM4) body..nose is light malt with moderate herbal, pine hop tones.....taste is light malt, moderate hop herbal, spice tones, mild bitter finish.....mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, light carbonation. This is a relatively mild and simple, but drinkable brew.

Ernest (9435) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 28, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2021 Can (brewed by Two Roads, unknown but fresh canning, likely early Jan 2021). Head is initially small to average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (lime, flowers), lightly to moderately yeasty (dough). Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Not as good as the 2019 batch, sadly (which was a 3.8 for me). Clunky raw vitamin B yeast odor hurts the hop bouquet. Even more stark/attenuated now too, but still easily quaffable. Just ok.
