From old tasting notes. Brewed in Austin, Texas. Bright Zinfandel pink color. Small bubbly white head. Sweet raspberry fruit aroma. Wonderful tangy raspberry flavor. There is an underlying lambic-like character here and it makes for a delicious and faithful reproduction of the Belgian classic style.

Originally rated on 10/8/06. Aromas and flavors of... wait for it.. raspberries!! Overall ok a standard fruit beer, not too shabby.

Not a spectacular beer... Pint pour of straw with almost no head. Nose is light malt and faint notes of Belgian yeast... Flavor is light malt and se raspberry but nothing great. Honestly, it’s not my cuppa...

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium golden pour, slight murkiness, no head, Aroma has some decent natural raspberry notes. Flavor has a decent tartness to it with some sour raspberry fruitiness. Just a hint of vanilla sweetness in the back end. Nice crispness to the mouthfeel. Better than expected,

Standard 12 oz longneck. Fair label. Slightly misty, light blonde brew, thin white head. Tangy, musty wheat aroma. A neat pastry mouth, lightly sweet, subtle raspberry. Unpleasant bitterness in flavor and finish. New Leaf Market.

"pretty much a miss on this one...raspberry starburst and an odd vanilla candy like aroma and flavor. not a lot redeeming here. odd light pink color...feel to prickly for a beer so lacking in real flavor. "

pours a hazy yellow color with a medium sized white head. the aroma is sweet raspberries, floral, and yeast. the taste was much of the same but the raspberry flavor is very artificial, almost like cough syrup flavor.

Bottle: Pours cloudy, light gold, tall white head with a very slight pink tint..... Hyper-foamy, even with a careful pour....and the wait is not worth it. Imitation, watery raspberry aroma...stale....wheat. Taste is flat, lifeless and watery....."raspberry" A little musty....almost tart, but the water dumbs even that down...like a raspberry flavour packet added to a bad ultra-light beer.... not good.

12 oz. bottle lost in the depths of the cellar long enough to show "brewed & bottled by Celis Brewery Inc., Austin Texas" on the label. Took a chance and opened it to a gratifying hiss, then an active pour to a Czech-pils glass, with abundant, rising bubbles, numerous, crumb-like, dark floaties suspended in the cloudy, orangy gold liquid, fluffy, white, persistent head foam, and clingy ribbons & spots of lacing. The aroma was tart, lightly vinegary, vinous-like, raspberry scent, and a hint of sweet biscuit. Light bodied, effervescent, and dry, the taste was tart, nearly sour, unsweetened raspberry juice, and "grandma’s attic", yeasty funk, with moderate, earthy, rindy, hop bitterness that melded in, and a little saltiness on the finish. Well past it, but somewhat entertaining as it accidently morphed into a "little out of control", but palateable, Sour Ale, unblended Lambic, or at the least, a tasty probiotic!

tap @ now defunct brewpub on 16 Nov 2011. golden with small head. light somewhat artificial raspberry. pretty eh, but it’s above average compared to the rest in this flight.
