Fin (17297) - Innernzell, GERMANY - MAY 27, 2022
UPDATED: MAY 27, 2022 Bottle picked up from Beyondbeer webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Friday 27th May 2022, sat outside and about to start cooking a Cauliflower and Red Lentil Dhal from the Simply Raymond cookbook. Pours hazy gold with a huge white head. Not a busy nose by any stretch but perhaps I am picking up a little barrel ageing. Super soft moutheel, tangy and a little fuzzy edge, smooth and light maltiness, sweetness mainly, but bitterness follows but this is somewhat reluctantly. Good but I guess that I'm probably going against the grain here with my review because I am not sure what they were trying to achieve here.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2022 23rd April 2022 Just a light haze on this paleish gold beer, good white head that fizzes away slowly and audibly. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, about what what you would expect from a Pilsner. The lager tang subservient to the barrelling, no complaints from me though, the barrelling is great. Surprising amount of vanilla from a red wine barrel. Nice floral red wine vibe, light but pleasingly fruity. Just a trace of a Sangria vibe as the mildly critic hops kick in and intermingle with the red wine. A mild bretty savory vibe runs throughout. Light finish. Nice job. Light and we'll barrelled and very easy drinking.
