HF and shit should not be mentioned in the same sentence unless referring to bong hits in the porta potties. Many, many more hits then misses.

Sarky had his tastebudes burned off by Terry's cask goldes.

I have had a few of their beers now. They have been good, but definitely over hyped.

Your average beer rated weighs in at 3.1

Mine is at 3.4

So you're admitting that you have surrounded yourself with the overhyped shit? Why would we expect you to have an objective view on the matter?

Your average beer rated is a 3.11. Does this mean that you're admitting that you have surrounded yourself with pedestrian beers for the sake of driving up your number of ratings to gain imaginary status on a beer rating website? Because that seems worse than drinking good beer to me.

No, I simply have a preference for traditional and well-established styles that people with no history of drinking beer (I've been drinking what I consider to be good beer since the early 80s) seem to have no love for at all, prefering "culinary experiments?.. by people who don’t even seem to like beer in the first place."

look, everybody has a right to their opinions. You can hate HF all you want but I do think you will not find a better brewer as Shaun Hill. To even suggest amateur mistake in brewing/bottling at HF is laughable.

Sure there are some gusher, but I´ve had gushers from Dupont/Duvel/Westmalle and other well established breweries that have been doing this forever.

In all seriousness, great brewery but there seems to be a HF score baseline. Rose tinted glasses. If you dressed up any classic Belgian beer and called it HF Bob it would average 4.3.

People seem to give marks for 'drinkability' that they would give to no other beer in that style. Good example below. Where do you see people saying 'this is so malty, clean and drinkable - 4.1'? Never, except HF
