So should I throw together a Nashville proposal? Is there a way to see what all is involved in putting a proposal together? I'm happy to work on it.

Look over some of the last proposals summer/winter for ideas

Winnipeg is one of the 5 coldest cities in the world (not a great beer scene either). And while I will certainly travel anywhere for the RBWG it would be sweet to see SD, Austin or Tampa out in a bid :) good luck to all proposals though!

Nashville would be possible for me.

Nashville would be easy for me although I do like when it goes farther south. I'd suggest a back up plan to the walking. A lot of 2 block walks for 4 stops in 20 degrees with lots of wind or 33 degrees rain would make a walking tour a bad plan and that can be the norm for parts of the winter here. And welcome btw. Asheville was cool, but we had a bus and it was one of the better weekends weather wise compared to what it could have been.

Plan for the worst, hope for the best. Keep it simple. Delegate work to qualified people who offer to help.

Nashville is fun and easy to get to. It's been a couple years since I was there and seems like a lot of new stuff since then.

I still think we need a winter gathering in Anchorage for the barleywine festival.

That would be incredible

+1

one of the few "cold weather" winter locations I could get behind. That said, last time BeerandBlues2 and I went to the fest it was 40+ F (5 C) in Anchorage, so we got out of the city to surrounding breweries pretty easily. even the 7.4 earthquake at 3 AM didn't deter us, one of the brewers was in a club at the time and said that suddenly his dance moves got way better

Absolutely. I was there for the fest and it was not bad at all, 29-30. Anchorage is a great place.
