Dutchess Ales Ketzer 3.7
Dutchess Ales Wassaic, New York
Appearance: Gold-toned body, very light haziness. Slim, near white head. Smell: A lightly bready, lightly grainy scent with a faint note of citrus and light floral, herbal flourishes. Taste: Golden barley glazed with a slick honeyed cereal sweetness. Slightly bready quality. Subtle citrusy lemon hint. A slight, curious herbal hint akin to a touch of gentian. Lightly bitter. Finishes semi-dry. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Hint of slight creaminess to the overall mouthfeel. Overall: Not bad.

Short's Psychedelic Cat Grass 3.6
Short's Brewing Company Bellaire, Michigan
12 oz can. Smells of grapefruit pith and pine resin. Dark orange with a touch of haze. Tastes of grapefruit with a hint of orange and pine hints of malts come through that are quickly overcome by the hops. Finish is bitter. Good bitter IPA.

La Trappe Isid'or 3.7
June 2024. 330ml dark bottle, unfiltered, from LCB. Big surge from the bottle - got it into the glass just in time. Head quickly settles into a faint semi-circle rim at the edge of the glass. Looks nice in the La Trappe glass. Sweet, malty, rich. Nice. My sort of beer. Gentle woody notes balance the sweet toffee. Good one. [3.8] Dec 2020. Small dark bottle, unfiltered, from the Beer52 advent calendar. I like this. I like this rather more than I did last time. This is sweet. Candy sweet. Yummy. Great mouthful of barley malt sweetness playing with the live yeast. This is beer. And it's damn gorgeous. [3.9] Sept 2018. 330ml dark bottle, unfiltered, from BeerWulf. This is a pleasant straightforward Belgian amber ale. Sweet, but not too sweet. Spicy from the hot fermentation and active yeast, but not too spicy. Yeasty, but not too yeasty. A little hoppier than average. Perhaps a little more sombre than others, but that marks it out as a little bit different. I kind of like my Belgians to be sweeter and more fun, but I'm quite enjoying this. It has a subtle presence, with an interesting range of flavours. It's not one that's going to get big scores from me, but I am reasonably impressed and pleased with the experience. [3.2]

Tired Hands HopHands 4.5
Tired Hands Brewing Company Ardmore, Pennsylvania
Large white head, maintains a bit. Nice lace. Hazy blond appearance with a slight green tint, wonder why? Nose is grapefruit, sweet citrus, danky dank. Fairly full on the pallet, hint creamy, excellent carbo level. Just a whole lotta balanced hop flavor, faint pale malts with a bunch of green hop flavor, some dank, some citrus, some green green, some juicy fruit, just very flavorful and enjoyable, pretty massive APA actually and at only 5.2 you can crush a few and yer tastebuds will love you for it. Solid, clean finish, grassy and danky, very tasty and then to top it off,,, a solid bitterness is gifted to you in the end! A well brewed beer for hop heads. 16oz cans from statelineliquors. Very nice, indeed.

1 pint .9 oz can served in a tumbler, from the fabulous 620 HEB collection- poured a brown with heavy dark maroon shading when held to a light source, tan head 3mm at start became wisps after a few minutes, aroma of biscuits and caramel. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is refined by the feel and is awesome, middle holds up well, finish is sweet , pretty good!
