Originally posted by LazyPyro Quite a list, here goes :- 1) Done. 2) A little odd this one as it was added this way by a North Brewing employee! Now changed. 3) The ratings have now been combined and the first beer deleted. As far as I know Little Leeds Beer House are not actual brewers so I have removed the slash. 4) Done. This was copied and pasted from their own description! 5) Done 6) Agreed, done. 7) Done. There are probably thousands of beers / ciders etc. that need to be retired on the site unfortunately, not an easy thing to keep on top of. 8) Done. 9) Done. The early fruit infused ciders were all added as unrateable but as time has moved on the powers that be have agreed that they can be rated. Me I wouldn't let them anywhere near Ratebeer but hey ho. |
11) The switch isn't between Seasonal and non Seasonal, if Seasonal is added we have to know which season. So not changed at present. |

Originally posted by imdownthepub Wow nice job! Thanks. 1) Regarding the list of West by Three beers in 10) I meant that they could be changed to a Series (as all their other Pilot Series beers are), not an actual season. It's just that when we add a beer the Series option is for some reason under the Season dropdown which is why I used that word. It's only minor metadata so not important was just suggesting it so they're all the same. 2) Regarding this cider: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/bulmers-cider-bold-black-cherry/209678/ could this be made rateable too, in line with Bulmers' other fruit ciders? From what I've been able to find out their fruit ciders are their standard cider with fruits infused after, therefore still being rateable as per RateBeer guidelines. 3) Regarding the NMBc Neapolitan Pale https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/northern-monk--little-leeds-beer-house-neapolitan-pale/412542/ yes Little Leeds Beerhouse seems to be a bottleshop and not a brewer so we didn't need the slash (though they spell Beerhouse as one word apparently). Also I'm not sure how others feel about this or if anyone even cares but if room permits may I suggest including the words "Ice Cream" before the word "Pale". Reason being is I think some people refer to the beer as "Ice Cream Pale" (as written at the bottom of the label) and don't realise Neapolitan Pale (written at the top of the label) is the actual name. So... "Northern Monk Little Leeds Beerhouse Neapolitan Ice Cream Pale". I guess technically it's incorrect but at least if someone searches for "northern monk ice cream" or something they will still find it and won't add as a dupe next summer. Just a suggestion. It's fine to leave as is either way :) Cheers Oh and one more... https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/northern-monk-alefarm-patrons-project-703-blueberry-wild-ale/532905/ Should be changed style to Sour/Wild Ale shouldn't it? Literally says Wild Ale in the name, though I can kinda understand this one being classed as Fruit. |
Another one which has been retired before its time (only one rating - from a US beer festival!): |
Impressed with the level of housekeeping done here, thanks Glen and Lazypyro. However one query, with number 3 the Northern Monk Little Leeds Beerhouse (LLB) removal of the slash as the latter are not a brewer, how does that sit with all of the Brewdog current collabs'? Ok so Brewdog themselves are brewers but not each of their individual sites would claim to be, and besides LLB has done other collabs' with Runaway on a couple of occasions so they may well be more into the brewing side than we know. Sorry I'm not being picky at all just querying and suggesting that LLB may have more right to have their slash reinstated than others having it in the first place. Completely happy to be shot down in flames though. |

Originally posted by Fin As far as I know, and in previous discussions with Admins the slash was put in place for Collaborations between what we believe or understand to be Brewers. I haven't seen the recent Brewdog beers recently added so I'm not sure if these have been added and released incorrectly and I do know that there are probably a lot of examples that have slipped through, but I do prefer to stick to what we have previously agreed. So for me LLB are staying unslashed. |
