One of my small local breweries (Battledown) moved premises and underwent a rebranding at the beginning of the year, I submitted corrections to retire a number of their beers. Also submitted a correction to the brewery itself as almost all of its info was outdated since January this year. I may have made a typo and put 2016 instead of 2017 as the date of the premises move...

I can see that it still hasn't been fixed, so I'm going to try here as well: The brewery First Chop https://www.ratebeer.com/brewers/first-chop/16389/ doesn't belong to a county like other English brewers. It used to belong to Greater Manchester. Could you please attach this brewer to a county, so my county stats are up to date? Cheers, Rasmus

I had to undo the country to blank (without saving) then re-select England then it gave me the ability to select a region. Also tallied this with my own Greater Manchester total which rose by 4 in accordance with my fix ... so yes it is now a Greater Manchester brewer.

Message BeardedAvenger P beers 7358 º places 596 º 13:54 Fri 10/27/2017 I had the same problem when I added a couple of breweries/cideries recently. The site rejected the telephone area code amd then the county dropped off. Think it may also effect places.

When adding a place there is no validation done on phone numbers so any country will work, but when adding a brewery it checks for US format which usually means dropping the first 0 from UK numbers otherwise it will error as you describe and mess up the county selection. Speaking of brewery fixes. I submitted one for a small local brewer the other night and it's not been fixed, not sure if backlog or not working... if in backlog then no worries, no rush. But all info for them is almost a year out of date. Message LazyPyro beers 8229 º places 63 º 19:30 Fri 10/27/2017 Found a misplaced rating when looking to clean up another local brewer's entries. https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/prescott-super-6-2016-no5-black-ipa/466213/ one user has rated this and points out it was an error in the GBBF programme and was actually a pale ale - the beer he was looking for was the similarly named https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/prescott-super-6-no-5-hoppy-citra-simcoe-mosaic/550438/ so if possible his rating should be moved there considering how different the beers are. Prescott are becoming notorious for having very similar names for very different beers. Basically since 2015 they've been doing one-off batches under their "Super 6" moniker each year starting from No. 1 through to No. 6, but the style is sometimes completely different from the previous year's No. 1 and so on. I will go through them tomorrow and submit corrections to those in need of clarity. Thankfully this is nowhere near the scale of Cloudwater.
Message BeardedAvenger P beers 7358 º places 596 º 02:46 Sat 10/28/2017 You could just send a message to the user as it's presumably simpler for them to delete and re-rate. I did that a while back. Also asked someone to delete a Place review that said a pub was shut for tenovation but was now about 3 years out of date. The user was trying to be helpful but not so good if people then stopped going to the re-openned pub.
