COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bons Vœux (Good Wishes) is a blond high fermentation beer , re-fermented in the bottle. Founded in 1970 , this beer was offered earlier this year to the most loyal customers of our brewery ( hence the name "With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont "). The success this beer earned lead to it being made commercially, while retaining its original name. Although very popular, it was brewed in limited quantities, the bottles reserved many months in advance. A coppery blond beer with aromas of hops for the Bon Voeux is a beer tasting combining mellow bitterness and fruity. Our selection of yeasts and a long maturation phase with hopping gives it flavor and a characteristic and complex taste. The true fermentation in the bottle , which can be extended very long in your cellar, resulting in a balanced and harmonious beer, surprising and complex aromas .

(Neuverkostung: 6.1.2024.)

StuffWine (386) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 2, 2023
UPDATED: DEC 2, 2023 Lovely cork presentation, pours a dense cloudy orange-brown with some sized yeast, slight white head reducing. Aroma is earthy yeast and spice with light banana phenols and a touch of sourness. Taste is huge, sweet-sour yeasty zestiness of breaking down citrus peel, moving gradually to warming alcohol that ramps through the finish. Full bold body, dense carbonation, long finish. Overall... heavenly yet grounded and richly earthy.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2023 75cl bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy light golden/amber colour with a large fluffy white head. Aromas of yellow fruits, light ripe stoney fruit aromas and a little bit of spice. Taste has more of the mixed fruity notes, both ripe and unripe flavours, lots of peppery spice, some cardboard notes and a decent earthy hop bitterness that lingers on a dry finish. Thin to medium body, fair amount of carbonation creating a spritzy like mouthfeel. Super refreshing. Kind of like a Tripel/Saison hybrid. This is very nice!

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2023 750 ml corked & caged bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 9.5%. Slightly hazy golden colour, huge white head. Aroma of spicy Belgian ale yeast, white kandij sugar syrup and spicy hops. The same spicy notes in the flavour, also sufficient malts, hints of yellow plums, not too sweet, bitter finish. Refreshing for its strength.

hjerteknut (46) - - JUN 4, 2023
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2023 Pleasant enough saison, though it is kept from receiving top marks due to its shaky aftertaste and unbalanced bitterness. Absolutely gorgeous head, cream white, though barely lasts the one-minute-mark. Cloudy yellow, decent carbonation. Fresh, vibrant aroma of that much-beloved saison yeast. A bit of citrus, banana and aniseed in the nose as well. Flavors are dominated by bitter hops, aniseed and sweet banana. It is a refreshing beer, but at the same time full-bodied. The mouthfeel is great: smooth, complex and intense. Alcohol goes completely under the radar, sneaks up on you. Although much respectable, there is something off about this beer. The balance isn’t quite right. The bitter herbaceousness comes off too strongly. I can most detect it in the aftertaste. The strange, aniseed-like bitterness off-sets the other flavors. It is an allright beer, but I’ve definately had better saisons.
