cheap (8875) - Land of Taxes, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 17, 2023
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2023 From a bottle, into my steeler mug, this stuff looks impressively important; big black with a choco moose head that fades to a tan scum. Nose is very faint, suspiciously lacking the aroma of malts. First taste is impressive, just maybe 8% impressive, but it comes across as soothing. Fine carbonation, rather creamy. Tasted is old damp partially burned charred fire wood like you'd find in the forest at an aged abandoned campsite. Finally, a decent non IPA beer I can appreciate. It seems 90% of all the new brews anymore are stupid ass bitter IPA; this is not. Its really starting to grow on me. Yep, quite satisfying; I don't think any IPA can leave me hangen like this. Thanks floydoh.

solidfunk (20070) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - SEP 25, 2023
UPDATED: SEP 25, 2023 Roast and milk. A touch of soy sauce but nothing like dark lord. Black pour with decent mocha head. Some oak. Bitter end with a touch of caramel. Bottle.

Shag (3602) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - JUN 17, 2023
UPDATED: JUN 17, 2023 Pitch black color with a tan head. Aroma contains some dark chocolate, licorice, and vanilla bean. The flavor is slightly sweet but also sour with a chocolate and grape presence. Overall this is good.

Mr.Spooks (4986) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 29, 2023
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2023 Sweet, even for an imperial milk stout. Never grows cloying, though, offsetting the hefty milk chocolate and lactose notes with a solid dose of roast and coffee bitterness. Tart cherry flits on the periphery. Good, if sugary.

GregMooreNH (9325) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 5, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 5, 2021 Pours black with a one finger, tan head. Aroma is lactose, roast and citrus. Taste is rich lactose, moving to orange, roast and light smoke. Finish sweet roast, orange and smokiness. Interesting stout.

gripweed57 (7541) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 18, 2020
UPDATED: APR 18, 2020 12 ounce bottle. Rating number 4,300. Thanks to my droogs Pete, Dim and Georgie. Opaque black brown color. Moderate creamy tan head. Earthy roasted malt aroma hints at chocolate and burnt wood. Rich roasted malt flavor. Creamy mouthfeel. Complex roasted malt flavor. Notes of bittersweet chocolate, toffee, treacle, Worcestershire sauce, smoked peat and cardamom. Very unique. First saw this at the Korova Milk Bar.

drpimento (7595) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - APR 9, 2020
UPDATED: APR 9, 2020 The Aromas are cocoa, dark malt, roast and a little molasses. Flavors are very much like nose with some maybe herbal qualities on the sweet side but with slightly strong carbonation that doesn't help.

coachd (2863) - O'Fallon, Missouri, USA - FEB 8, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2020 Rich straightforward aroma. Flat black color. Nice sweet flavor with a roasty finish and a little alcohol heat in the aftertaste. Very good.

commonmac (2298) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 25, 2020
UPDATED: JAN 25, 2020 On tap at New Bohemia in Golden Valley. Deep brown, basically black in color with minimal tan head. Nose is roasty with almost a smoky quality. Hints of mild dark chocolate. Taste is more bitter than anticipated from a sweet stout. Vanilla and bitter dark chocolate. Little bit of an alcohol presence that takes over mid-sip. Smooth but rather thin mouthfeel. I wanted a bit more from this one but I do enjoy it. More-loko.

commonshawn (2166) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 31, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2019 Tap at new bohemia golden valley. Black with small off white head. Roasty nose. Taste is sweet, roast, chocolate, milk sugar, nice balance at the finish. Nice.
