UPDATED: MAR 20, 2024 A 750ml gold foil covered and corked bottle, bottled on 14th April 2016. Poured into a 3 Fonteinen gueuze glass. It was a lightly hazy golden orange colour with a big two finger white head that had pretty good retention and left some nice lacing. Aromas of pear, green apple, apple peel, funky, damp wood, with notes of wood shavings. Tastes lightly sour, tart, lemon, fruit sweetness, apple peel, apple, pear, white wine grapes, funk, wet wood, with oaky notes. Light bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, easy drinking and extremely quaffable.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2023 Blend Oude Geuze 2022. Helder, levendig goudgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is fruitig en licht zuur met iets van appel, wat citrus en abrikoos. Heel goed.

UPDATED: AUG 21, 2023 Shared 2018, green 750 ml. bottle poured to stemware, showing a clear, orangey/gold color, with a presentable layer of soft white froth to a persistent ring, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was 'forest'/woody funk, greenery, slight malt & sweetness, dried fruit, ripe lemon, skins, and subtle vinegar. Medium bodied, the taste was similar notes, with decent effervescence, lemon peel and rind tartness & tanginess, and a dry finish.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2023 Bottle. Clear golden body with a white head that lingers. Lively carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of cider and rhubarb. Flavour of fresh lemon and cider. Thin to medium body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Light fizz. It’s very sharp and cider-like.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2023 Ich hatte den noch relativ jungen Jahrgang 2021 aus einer 0,75 l Flasche ... Ins Glas geschenkt zeigt sich schönes Orange-gold mit einer satten Opaltrübung. Viele feine CO2-Fäden ziehen ihre Bahnen nach oben. Dort wartet eine feinporige, gelbstichige und gut haltbare Schaumkrone. Olfaktorisch machen sich fruchtig-hefige, säuerliche bis leicht essigsaure Noten breit. Dazu ein feiner, trocken-herber, weiniger Charakter, dem bereits ein leichter 'Brett'-Ton inne wohnt. Der Antrunk kommt sehr frisch, spritzig, sauer und fruchtig-zitronig. Am Gaumen moussiert die Kohlensäure sehr angenehm und sanft. Die Fruchtigkeit mit Noten von Zitrone und eventuell Grapefruit mutet phasenweise fast süßlich an, obwohl die Säure klar dominiert. Und obwohl sich auch eine leicht essigsaure Note dazu mischt, lassen sich noch malzige Noten wahrnehmen. Ein schönes Gesamtbild entsteht - Mundgefühl und Süffigkeit sind dabei gut und vergleichbar mit einem guten säurebetonten, aber fruchtig-würzigen Weißwein. Im säuerlichen und schön perlenden Nachtrunk macht sich eine leichte Herbe, welche von der Hefe kommt, aber auch eine leicht zimtige Würze breit. Mein Fazit: Absolut stiltypisch - Lindemans steht da aber auch für höchste Qualität!
