UPDATED: MAR 8, 2024 Bottle at Cittie of York. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Light creamy coffee edge. Opaque cola brown. Thick foamy beige head. Tangy berries. Light sweet liqourice. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2024 335ml bottle from Alko Kauniainen. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a beige head. Black treacle, roasted malt and a hint of dried plum in the aroma. Roasted malt dominates the flavour with some sweetness in the background along with bitterness. Notes of dark chocolate, malt and bittering hops in the finish. A bit thin palate, but a very good porter regardless.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2023 Servida en pinta inglesa, color marrón oscuro de gran opacidad con ligeros destellos rojizos, espuma marrón que si bien se reduce no termina de desaparecer. Aroma a malta tostada, café, chocolate. En boca es sobria, contenidamente robusta, de cuerpo bastante completo pero a la vez ligeramente aguada, marcadamente amarga y torrefacta sin llegar al exceso, con notas de cacao, chocolate, frutos secos...Una porter clásica y bastante referente del estilo.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2023 Dal colore marrone scuro tendente all’ebano e dalla schiuma fine color beige, la Samuel Smith Taddy Porter ha un corpo rotondo e snello. Al naso, note di cioccolato e caffè, seguite da sentori di pane nero, liquirizia, carbone. Al palato si ripresentano i sentori percepiti all’olfatto, con una bassa carbonazione tipica dello stile e una grandissima bevibilità.
