Overall, they are a great brewery, but they are not so wonderful and original that they can survive while being rude to customers.

No kidding, this one time Larry Bell personally told a dude to fuck off, now his worst nightmare has come to pass.

Unfortunately for them, that one mistake has echoed across the country. It has already been posted on Beer News, so that bring the exposure to thousands instead of just 1.

It also seems to have set sides, including a large group of very ardent supporters who feel that BA member deserved it. You are kidding yourself if you think they won’t continue to grow at an astronomical rate. They can barely keep kegs on tap long enough to post that they exist..

considering how many people are defending Joey and they don’t even know him, i think that’s a pretty good sign that things aren’t really looking that bad for CCB.

it’s been proven in craft beer that being a dick to customers really isn’t that big of a deal. especially when it’s just one customer that most feel acted like a douche to begin with. CCB isn’t selling insurance, they’re selling good beer that they’ve worked hard to make, and the business isn’t going to be be hurt until they stop making good beer

when RBWG comes and goes, there will be so much positive feedback for the brewery that this will all be a distant, funny memory. it’s pretty awesome right now though

Local success does not equal national success. Sure, this one incident will not destroy their success, however, if they repeat this type of customer service practice they will be hurt by it in the long run. There will always be local supporters that would defend the brewery even if they brewed beer that tasted like feces, but expansion really depends on how you can relate to your customers. Even companies that make arrogance part of their motto (ie Stone) have kind and professional customer relations.

The anti-BA sentiment is pretty disgusting here.
As a BA member since aught 2, I just don’t get why people try to generalize based on a few members. It is sad that the older members here even take part in this. I know I would jump on anyone’s case over at BA if they made a general negative comment about this site.

As a member of both sites, you are just kidding yourself if you really think the same "childish bs" doesn’t happen over there.
